Adaptive teaching, and rightly so, seems to be everywhere in education right now. Much of the research that informs it has been around for years and is excellent.
This Pocket PL is my attempt to organise those ideas into something practical. I’ve tried to pull them together into a simple framework with a slightly cheesy acronym: ADAPTS. It’s six questions to help you think about planning, teaching and responding to learners without losing sight of the same ambitious learning goal for everyone.
If you’re early in your career, I hope it gives you a framework to build on. If you’ve been teaching for years, I hope it helps articulate the decisions you’re already making instinctively every lesson.
